IU-Greens complaint with the JEP's visit to Lorca Ana Mato (22/05/2014)

IU-Green Region of Murcia has reported today at the Provincial Electoral Board (JEP) their visit yesterday to Lorca's Health Minister Ana Mato;

President of the Autonomous Community, Alberto Garre, and number six on the candidate lists PP, Ramón Luis Valcárcel.

The formation of the left has indicated that these leaders, accompanied by the mayor of the municipality, Francisco Jodar, who also works in the complaint, visited the multipurpose center of the Association of Parents of Children with Intellectual Disabilities (Apandis).

According to the letter of IU-Greens, both the visit and the statements made by the Minister and the applicant as part of the same, contrary "crystal clear:" the provisions of Article 50 of the Organic Law on the General Electoral Regime (LOREG ).

The article states that "prohibited any event organized or financed directly or indirectly by the public authorities that contain references to the embodiments or achievements, or use images or matching or similar to those used in their own campaigns for some expressions political entities competing in the elections. "

Supported in several reports in the news media, the complainant states that the minister training, in addition to delivering medals to children with disabilities, made prohibited political propaganda stating that "the ministry has received several international awards, which highlight the work that is being done in this area. "

For IU-Greens, these statements, which represent "an obvious allusion to an accomplishment or achievement obtained" are not the only ones who made the PP leaders cited "breach of the law."

In the letter of complaint, his legal representative, Sergio Ramos asks PSB to proceed with the timely initiation of disciplinary proceedings against PP and persons referred to above.

IU-Green believes that "this is especially serious because in addition to violating the electoral law is used to do this a particularly vulnerable such as the disabled group, which should be independent of any election campaign."
