All-electric infrastructure techniques will be conducted and three processing centers and their connection to the high voltage network in the neighborhoods of Vine and San Diego will be installed

The Ministry of Development, Public Works and Planning and Iberdrola Electricity Distribution have agreed to establish a partnership agreement setting out the works and actions necessary for the reconstruction and replacement of electrical distribution infrastructure ultimately assume.

Thus, the earthquake victims will be exempt from cost of works to ensure energy supply in buildings most affected by earthquakes and are undergoing the process of reconstruction in different neighborhoods of the city, mainly in the Vineyard, San Diego, San Jose and Alfonso X.

The text of the agreement, approved today by the Board of Governors, "sees the light after a process of negotiation with the company and neighbors to coordinate the actions of the urban renewal plan and, in particular, as regards supply infrastructure electric, "explained the director of Development, Public Works and Planning, Manuel Campos.

Campos rated "very positively" the agreement, which "demonstrates the strong commitment of the regional administration with Lorca and the residents of the areas most affected by the earthquakes."

Its aim is to restore the supply of electricity in regulatory conditions and therefore meet the adequacy of electrification in buildings and indicated power, as the buildings are completed, regardless of whether the redevelopment end up later.

The implementation of the Network power distribution Low Voltage is guaranteed through the pipes for laying grids, and the installation of three processing centers and their connection to the high voltage network.

Two of them will be located in the Plaza of the Trades of The Vine and the third in the square formed by Gimeno and Ortega Street Bridge Melgares San Diego.

Works

The Ministry of Development, Public Works and Planning will conduct all civil work, trenching, laying of pipes and manholes-type, and replacement of roads and sidewalks necessary for electrical installations as well as installing the surround concrete required to locate inside the transformer.

Also manage and obtain permits, disposals of use, permits and easements, both individuals and public authorities or government agencies, to implement and ensure the continuity of the electric distribution facilities.

Meanwhile, Iberdrola allocated 250,000 euros to the screening, design and procurement of appropriate administrative, the provision of electric distribution facilities progressively licensing, as they arise supply needs, and commissioning of completed facilities.
