Five performances and a film series at the synagogue are the sign of the second edition of the festival 'Jewish Lorca' (11/06/2014)

The Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities, the City of Lorca and the Israeli Embassy in Madrid today presented the second edition of the festival 'Jewish Lorca', which this year will feature five shows and theater shows to publicize the culture contemporary Jewish and consolidate the Sun City as a reference for historical, cultural and tourist knowledge of the Jewish world.

The offer of the second edition of the festival, which takes place from 17 to 21 June, includes only concert in Spain of Israeli folk band-metal-progressive 'Orphaned Land', to close the event on Saturday 21. Additional scheduled for the 19th presentation of the latest works of songwriter Tal Ben Ari, mixing traditional music with modern and Mara Aranda, who will perform a concert of traditional music played on acoustic quintet format.

The lineup is completed by the opening concert of the string trio of the Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia concert 'Entartete Musik';

and the children's show 'Tales in the light of the seven candles', the 'Evoked' company Murcia.

Gourmet Route

Complementing the festival, I Gastronomic Route Sephardic inspiration, in which ten Lorca catering establishments offer tapas menus and Sephardic cuisine adapted to develop.

The enhancement of the Jewish quarter and the synagogue of Lorca has increased the number of visits to this space in the Fortaleza del Sol when it fulfills the second year of operation, during which time it received 33,600 visitors, with an average of over 1,400 visits per month.
