The Community and Iberdrola drive actions reconstruction of electrical distribution infrastructure in the neighborhoods of Lorca (18/06/2014)

Electricity infrastructure will be rebuilt and three processing centers and their connection to the medium voltage network in the neighborhoods of Vine and San Diego will be installed

The Minister of Development, Public Works and Planning, Manuel Campos, met with Chief of Iberdrola in the Region of Murcia, Valverde Patricio to coordinate the actions of urban renewal power infrastructures that were damaged by earthquakes in 2011. This collaboration is part of an agreement signed between the Ministry and Iberdrola to strengthen the necessary actions in the face of this infrastructure repair.

During the meeting, they discussed the power needs identified in the affected buildings and works to develop between government and energy companies to ensure electrical distribution network in different areas of town were raised.

Between the lines of action highlights the implementation of distribution network Low Voltage power through pipes for laying grids, and the installation of three processing centers and their connection to the Network Medium Voltage.

Processing centers, two will be located in the Plaza de los Crafts Vineyard and one in the square formed by Gimeno and Ortega Street Bridge Melgares, in San Diego.

The agreement, which will run for two years and may be extended in the case of works and performances of the same object not be completed, also includes the implementation by the Ministry of civil work, trenching, laying -type piping and manholes.

Also, will the replacement of roads and sidewalks necessary for electrical installations, and install concrete enclosures accurate to locate inside the transformer.

Similarly, the Ministry managed to obtain permits, disposals of use, licenses and easements, both individuals and public administrations and agencies, which are required to implement and ensure the continuity of the electric distribution facilities.

Iberdrola, meanwhile, allocated 250,000 euros to the screening, design and procurement of appropriate administrative, the provision of electric distribution facilities progressively licensing, as they arise the needs of supply and the placing on the executed service facilities.

For optimal development of the planned actions has created a monitoring committee, composed of one representative of the Department of Development and other Iberdrola.
