The director general of Instituto Murciano Seniors Social Action (IMAS), Enrique Pérez, and Councilwoman Social Care, Family and Immigration Lorca, María del Carmen Ruiz, closed on Saturday the 19 workshops held during the year 2013 - 2014 by users of the Social Centre for the Elderly in the town.
In total, more than 600 have been users who have participated in the workshops scheduled for this course in which from Monday to Saturday, relations activities, memory, painting and Choir and Rondalla, among others were made.
The CEO stressed the involvement of older people in the development of these activities and rated their "importance" to help promote active aging and to promote the integration of older people avoid sitting alone.
During the closing ceremony the trophies 2013-2014 contests pitch, ludo, dominoes and batons, as well as other card games are made.
Also paid tribute to the volunteers of Social Senior Center have conducted several workshops throughout these months and voluntary work performed by a user of the center, at 91 years old, continues to be recognized monitor Choir and Rondalla.
