The Fish Gate Lorca Castle will become a gazebo (03/07/2014)

The Councillor for Culture of the City of Lorca, Sandra Martinez, visited the works being made in the wall of the Castillo de Lorca accompanied by architect project manager, Francisco Jurado.

This work, funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports through the Institute of Cultural Heritage of Spain, IPCE, represent an investment of 413,744 euros and will end this summer.

Martinez recalled that "it is one of the areas most damage suffered as a result of the earthquakes of 2011, as rocky landslides that swept parts of the walls and affected the rest of the structures were recorded, detecting even risk of rollover" .
