1.8 million to a collector in water sanitation lorquina deputation Zarcilla (04/07/2014)

The Governing Council agreed to authorize the hiring and spending works of sanitation collector Zarcilla in Lorca, for an amount of € 1.8 million project, funded 80 percent by the Fund cohesion of the European Union.

The new collector, to be 4.3 kilometers long and is accompanied by a new pumping station, will improve the treatment of wastewater from this lorquina deputation.

These waters will be taken to the new Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Turrilla river for purification along with those of other towns.

The work, which will be executed in two annuities, 2014 and 2015, will have a lead time of eight months and will enable Rush to the network of some 2,000 or the equivalent.

This infrastructure will override the old treatment plant of this population center, concentrating the maximum amount of residual water in WWTP Turrilla River, currently in progress, and has a powerful tertiary treatment.

This action, which will be an important energy and cost savings, as well will ensure a flow of water in perfect condition for reuse in agriculture.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Water is working on the Comprehensive Plan for cleansing and purifying of Lorca, which has already invested over 47 million euros in actions already implemented, about 7 million in works execution state, plus another 40 million in shares that are already in the bidding phase.

This project is part, in turn, in the General Plan of cleansing and purifying of the Region of Murcia and is a step in the series of actions carried out by the regional government to improve the quality of life and have more water and with better quality.
