Councillor of Education of the City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, reported that "the council has already completed the rehabilitation of the College of La Parroquia, made in less than one month and which has invested almost € 19,000."
Montiel explained that "this action in the 'Our Lady of the Assumption' of The Parish School is included in the investment program that both local government and regional planning to implement during this summer period in order to continue to improve our schools educational. "
In this sense, the mayor added, "This center has been benefiting from a second phase of work aimed at repairing the damage caused by the earthquakes of May 11, 2011 in its entirety, for during the repair by damage in this school after the earthquake of 2011 made in summer 2013, damage that had remained hidden and now we have undertaken were detected.
