The Councillor for Citizen Participation Council of Lorca, Ana María Lidón, reported that the city council will launch a new participatory process driven from the Social Council of the City for the development of a "Plan of Urban Landscape Quality Lorca ".

This document, which originates in the Master Plan for the Recovery of Cultural Heritage Lorca and is driven by the Central Government and the Department of Culture, is to establish the general and special conditions for comprehensive knowledge management and protection of the cultural landscape of the city of Lorca.

The plan is divided into two phases;

fundamentally analytical first, identification of the main constituent elements of the urban landscape and a second purporting to be proactive and define the necessary for comprehensive safeguarding and promoting the landscape qualities performances, such as protection from the elements or definition of quality criteria when acting on those items.

The Social Council of the City, is established as an advisory body to maximum participation of the town of Lorca.
