The districts and places that are going to be benefited by the actions of this program are Coy, Doña Inés, Avilés, Zarzadilla Totana, La Parroquia, La Paca, Las Terrenas, Zarcilla, Corner Carranza, Torrealvilla and Zuniga.
The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar has introduced a new employment initiative called "Beautification Program squares and public places in the High hamlets of Lorca" this morning.
The mayor explained that the City, in order to continue working on improving all the territories that make up our town, got a major endowment designed to implement improvements in the councils further north of Lorca.
Specifically are almost 123,000 euros from funds EAFRD European Agricultural Fund for Local Development, within the LEADER approach managed by the local action group Society for Integrated Rural Development, which owns Lorca.
The Mayor has indicated that the purpose of this program is to conserve and enhance the heritage of rural districts high, creating an attractive environment and preserving the environment while spaces for the enjoyment of residents and visitors are improved.
The districts and places that are going to be benefited by the actions of this program are Coy, Doña Inés, Avilés, Zarzadilla Totana, La Parroquia, La Paca, Las Terrenas, Zarcilla, Corner Carranza, Torrealvilla and Zuniga.
These interventions will be aimed at adapting and clean green spaces and public places;
repair and replacement of street furniture;
activities such as replacement of masonry curbs, wall and floor tiling and array manholes;
removal of architectural and maintenance of fountains and ponds barriers.
To run these projects the City has contracted through a selection process to 6 people (2 officers masonry, a mason laborer, 2 formal landscaping and painting officer).
Francisco Jodar stressed that with this method the execution of the work and can perform more actions in less time accelerates.
The performances will be developed for 8 months and had to be completed before May 31.
The works to be carried out within this program have been agreed between the City and the neighbors (Mayors headman, Residents Associations, Social groups ...) based on the needs.
It is therefore a process of participation that the City Council we do to make any major urban improvement.
With this program you will be making dozens of small actions bring much needed value to key public spaces of the various councils of Lorca.
These together with other works executed in recent years and by the historical process of improvement of rural roads in the municipality that is making the Autonomous Community shall have our parishes in the best conditions, as neighbors deserve.
On this program, we have to highlight some that are already running as repairing walls of the Great House of Coy, or otherwise, is planned as improving the plaza outside the Civil Guard Zarcilla the improved irrigation Park Zarzadilla Totana or improving the entrances to La Paca.
