The Councillor for Employment and Local Development of the City of Lorca, Eulalia Ibarra has reported that "on Thursday January 15 is the deadline for grant applications for the creation and modernization of small and medium enterprises in uptown Saint Kitts and the historic town of Lorca, for which 100,000 euros financed in 80% by ERDF and 20% by the Consistory intended ".

Ibarra has encouraged employers and unemployed Lorca to submit their projects to benefit from the call for proposals for economic regeneration and encouraging entrepreneurship of small and medium enterprises in the districts of Lorca and the San Cristóbal , this time leaving the door open to help projects in their area of ​​influence, as is the historic center of the city, if not exhausted the total amount of aid in the area for priority action ".

The mayor has indicated that those unemployed entrepreneurs and small and medium entrepreneurs who are interested in starting a new business or improving an existing one in the neighborhoods of San Juan, Santa Maria, San Pedro, San Lazaro, El Calvario, San Cristobal or the historical district may apply for these grants, which could even reach 70% of the investment.

Eulalia Ibarra has reported that "those who dare to run some improvement in an SME existing can achieve up to 3,000 euros, while those who believe a new company will compete for a maximum of 10,000 euros of public aid.
