Health officials Murciano Health Service (SMS) and other autonomous debated throughout the weekend on topics related to the sector in the 'Meeting of Healthcare Managers' organized by Health 2000 in Lorca.
The Minister of Health and Social Policy, Catherine Lorenzo, with the president of Health 2000, José María Pino, and the president of the Spanish Society of Healthcare Managers (SEDIS), Joaquín Estévez, opened the day's work, in which some thoughts on the current industry and exchange ideas.
Some of the main topics of this meeting will focus on the quality of care, the incorporation of new treatments, how to manage teams, clinical management and legal accountability of managers.
The Minister of Health and Social Policy said during his speech, the need to continue pushing for a "efficient and quality" management because, he explained, "is the main tool to achieve that progress system and ensure the welfare state" .
In this regard, he referred to the changes that have occurred in the health system and stressed that "Health is not only curing system but also the system that prevents".
Therefore, he added, "we must continue working and strengthening health strategies aimed at promoting prevention and health care."
The work of professionals is, as he said, "decisive" to address health problems, to continue to maintain quality care and to raise awareness and promote healthy lifestyles and healthy life.
Lorenzo recalled some of the actions taken by the Department in order to give prominence to patients, continue working on "close" cooperation with professionals and manage efficiently.
Among these initiatives, the minister referred to the unification of the areas of health, care for chronic patients, preventive initiatives and the creation of the central purchasing, among other actions.
