The Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities has made improvement and refurbishment works in three public pre-school education in the municipality of Lorca in which it has invested a total of 121,322 euros since last summer.

In particular, the performances have included the adequacy of library space in the College of Education and Primary Villaespesa, building an open classroom in the CEIP José Robles and work adaptation of a children's playground in the CEIP San Fernando .

The general director of Educational Centers, María Dolores Valcárcel, met this morning with the Councillor for Education of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, who discussed the educational reality of the municipality, and stressed that "these works have allowed us to improve these infrastructures and are a sample of all the Ministry and the City work to further improve the network of public schools in the region so that our students can receive a quality education in the best possible conditions, "said Maria Dolores Valcárcel.

During the meeting, the director general and council of Education visited the works of the CEIP José Robles, initiated during the Christmas period and have a budget of 53,132 euros.

According to María Dolores Valcárcel, "since 2008 infrastructure investment at this center slashing 900,000 euros".

In the case of CEIP Villaespesa, the works were performed last summer and involved an investment of 36,000 euros, while jobs in the CEIP San Fernando, which has invested more than one million euros in the last seven years were initiated late last December with a budget of 32,190 euros.

In all the schools in the municipality, investment in infrastructure since 2008, excluding the works that are currently running on the CEIP Ros Giner and the CEIP San Fernando, totaled 29,530,405 euros.

In addition, the general director of Educational Centers recalled that for this course were awarded 1,573 grants totaling dining and books and school supplies to schoolchildren in the municipality, which represents an investment of 304,116 euros from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities.
