Diego José Mateos, Socialist candidate for mayor of Lorca has announced that the Municipal Socialist Group will support the request made by the Federation of Organizations of Women in Lorca (FOM Lorca) to appoint as favorite daughter Lorca City Hall Rosalia Vallejo .
The socialist candidate for mayor of Lorca shows his support for this initiative after holding room Vallejo as a woman who led and promoted the defense of gender equality and women opening the world of research in local history.
Therefore, Diego José Mateos announced that his party welcomes the initiative taken by the Federation of Organizations of Women in Lorca and expect the unanimous agreement of all the municipal corporation which recognize the historical work of Ms Rosalia Vallejo Chamber defending the rights of women and their contribution to maintaining the historical legacy of Lorca through their research and publications.
