Laura Aguilera Ruiz and Carolina Fernández Silvestre win first prizes of the 7th Competition for Secondary Education Narration "Angels Pascual Award" (11/02/2015)

The Councillor for Education of the City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, has announced the list of winners of the 7th Competition for Secondary Education Narration "Angels Pascual Award", in which participated 202 stories of students in compulsory secondary education.

The award in the category of students in 1st and 2nd of ESO has been for Laura Ruiz Aguilera, IES San Juan Bosco, with narration entitled "Winter Garden".

The second prize was awarded to the work "Hugo" Mary Camón Rozas, student of IES Ramón Arcas.

The winner of the third prize was Isabel Hortensia Arcas Jodar, the IES Ibanez Martin, with the story "The chimes of yesterday."

Also within this category have been finalists Vicente Millán Re, the St. Francis College, with the play "Another World";

María Jiménez Muñoz, also of St. Francis College, with narration "collars my grandmother" and also a student of St. Francis of Assisi Maria Angeles Aparicio Peñarrubia with the story "Cross Roads".

In the category of students in 3rd and 4th of ESO, the first prize was awarded to Carolina Fernández Silvestre, student of IES San Juan Bosco, with his work "The Beginning".

The story "The life of Ana" Loli Sánchez Paredes, also a student of IES San Juan Bosco, won the second prize, while the third prize was awarded to the story "My Princess" Rocío Sánchez del Vas, student of IES Prince of Asturias.

The finalists in this category were Aráez Carmen Martinez, of San Francisco School of Assisi with the work entitled "What's It All About," Jaime López González, of Sun City College with "A robot named Robert" and Carmen Romera Aznar , Ros IES Giner, with "A crazy too sane."

A total of 202 stories of pupils from the San Juan Bosco, Sun City College, IES Pedanías Altas, Ramón Arcas, San Francisco de Asis and Ibanez Martin College have participated in this seventh edition of the event which honors Angeles Pascual, historical teacher institutes Ibanez Martin and Ros Giner, director of the Municipal Library for more than 30 years and Adoptive Daughter of Lorca.

The jury of the contest, organized by the Municipal Network of Libraries of Lorca, was chaired by the Angels Pascual own and formed by the Councillor for Education and University of the City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, the writers María Jesús Caro Porlán, Inmaculada Pelegrín and Caro Musso, and librarians Susana Torres Mora and Maria Luisa García Peñas.
