The local representative of Union Progreso y Democracia (UPyD) in Lorca, Juan Manuel Cabrera, said that "urges a comprehensive intervention of the various administrations on most troubled neighborhoods in the city."

In this sense, Cabrera said that "we believe the situation in these areas is terrible when combined problems of urban, economic and social order that takes some neighborhoods of Lorca have grown into real ghettos of inequality".

According to the local representative of the formation magenta, "this situation was aggravated after natural disasters in recent years, and remains one of the main problems that must face the municipal administration of Lorca".

Moreover, the abandonment of some sun and some dilapidated buildings joins the lack of attention to the maintenance and cleaning of these areas by the public services.
