The story "The Battle Mechanics' Wins Short Story Contest IV" Women "in which participated 64 stories (06/03/2015)

The City Council of Women of the City of Lorca, Lali Ibarra, has announced the jury of IV Literary Short Story Contest "Women", organized by this Department.

The jury was composed by Teresa Victoria Sanchez, former president of the Association of Housewives and writer;

Alicia Rodrigo, president of the Association of Widows Virgen del Alcázar;

Antonio Ortega, teacher and writer;

Jose Tomas Rios, professor of Secondary;

Damian Bravo, director of IES San Juan Bosco;

Andrés Porlán degree in Philology;

Mª Angeles Aragon, an official of the Department of Women and Ibarra own as president.

The mayor announced that the winning story was "The Battle Mechanics" due to "his original, different and risky theme, addressing with humor a topic. Furthermore, it is very fresh in his narration and well structured from a point of view literary. Its author is Maria Canovas Lorca, Murcia resident and that will win a laptop ".

The second prize of a tablet, has been for the story "Elia" to "address a risky and different theme, with an interesting literary game, and very well written. The author is María Concepción Andrés Ortega, who lives in Molina de Segura. The third prize went to the narrative "She" because of the topics addressed, tender and expressive form of the strength of women. The winner is Adrian Salar Vives, who lives in Murcia, you get rewarded with a mobile phone " .

Ibarra explained that failed was a special consolation prize for the first local classified, having failed to obtain any resident of Lorca none of the first three prizes.

The winning story was "Stardust" by performing in a small space a powerful text with alternating voices and features a double vision of the Western and Eastern world and women living in them, with a touch of hope despite the tragedy.

The winner is Ana Alicia García López, resident of Lorca, who will receive as a reward for accommodation for two in a hostel.

The Councillor stressed that "holding its fourth edition, this competition is increasingly consolidating into a regional benchmark for literature on female motives."
