As Juan Manuel Cabrera explains, "It is unfortunate that the city of Lorca selling the image of first world to the thousands of people who will come in the coming days to share our wonderful Easter, offering a short distance from the first world, so horrendous and unequal reality "

The candidate of Unión Progreso y Democracia (UPyD) for mayor of Lorca, Juan Manuel Cabrera, City government has demanded an "urgent solution" to the inhumane and inequality conditions in which a group of immigrants living in the bed of the Guadalentín between the councils of Marchena and Tertia.

Also, Cabrera has indicated that a short distance from the newly opened pavilion Philip VI, "found a very different reality from the town of Lorca, showing us the most disadvantaged, the world of those who survive in subhuman conditions."

In this context, local spokesman said that the houses of the gates that serve as an outlet for the river, "are occupied by people living there, while our City is decked out to celebrate with fanfare Easter".

"A couple of square meters, without any type of service and a rope to the door to hang clothes, is all that is for there have settled a group of immigrants, before the impassivity of public administrations", he remarked Cabrera.

Likewise, Juan Manuel Cabrera has also stated that garbage accumulates at the base of the gates and "nobody seems to matter the lives of these people, what binds the danger of living just above the riverbed, in case there was a flood. "

It has also stressed that it desolate state in which are these gates, which are a measure of security in case there was a flood, because they serve spillway.

For local spokesman, the gates should have a maintenance service, that they were in perfect condition if necessary by a corresponding threat.

"The gates half open, with broken mechanisms pose a real threat to the risk of a flood, which unfortunately Lorca know well their ugly face."

Thus, Lorca UPyD denounces the irrationality and hypocrisy of a municipal administration that allows this situation without doing anything.

"We demand that our municipal government meets these citizens, and provide them a solution so they can live in decent conditions for a human being".
