UPyD Lorca is concerned about the "precarious employment" in the city and reducing social services (25/03/2015)

For Juan Manuel Cabrera, "are increasingly Lorca who lose their jobs and can not find a decent livelihood to overcome the gravity of this situation"

The candidate of Unión Progreso y Democracia (UPyD) for mayor of Lorca, Juan Manuel Cabrera, has expressed concern about the "precarious employment" in the town, as well as reducing social assistance and unemployment.

As explained by the local spokesman, "the crisis in our environment, far from improving, continues to intensify due to the mismanagement of the government", mainly regional, who will have much expertise on this subject, but also in those issues affecting local government.

Also, Juan Manuel Cabrera has remarked that the employment situation in the city indicates that the reconstruction of Lorca "is not assuming a boost for economic growth" and that the aid plans "are not being helpful in reducing unemployment", giving priority "urban works of little use to unemployment."

In this sense, Cabrera stressed that the municipal government has informed about significant developments in sectors such as tourism, or talk about creating jobs thanks to the countless works suffered throughout the city, but "the reality is that all this supposed economic recovery, all it brings more people every day who loses his job and can not find in the city a decent livelihood with which to overcome this situation ".

"While" continued the local candidate, "employment is becoming more precarious and unemployment benefits and basic social services are reduced."

He also insisted that unemployment in Lorca is a particularly difficult problem due to "the particular difficulties facing our city in recent years and aggravate these negative consequences."

On the other hand, it has also revealed that the city is still growing shadow economy without institutional control, "which makes more precarious and unsafe working conditions and pose the benefit of acting outside the law."

According to the candidate for mayor of Lorca, governments have an obligation to exercise control actions on the work being done, in order to control fraud.

"To control occupational fraud is essential to increase the means at their disposal labor inspectorates. Fight against fraud work is essential to prevent the exploitation of workers, especially the most disadvantaged, and illicit enrichment fraudsters. Only if we fight against fraud and corruption in all its facets, administrations will act against poverty and in defense of the underprivileged "stressed Cabrera.
