The candidate for mayor of Lorca United Left-Greens, Jose Garcia Murcia has described the electoral campaign of his political formation as "exciting and highly participative".

For Garcia Murcia, democracy, economy, defense of public services, the environment and equality are the priorities of the municipal government of IU.

He also assured that the city of Lorca become a "school of democracy", increasing the degree of active participation of citizens in decision-making.

He emphasized both the need to maintain essential public services such as fundamental rights, including access to housing and employment, or, more specifically, to keep warm or lack of a minimum supply of water, especially for the needy .

Furthermore, he opted for the redistricting of public services such as Aguas de Lorca, so that their benefits passed on to Lorca and not go to Barcelona as is the case today.

He also announced the completion of a "citizens' debt audit" to know "who and what companies has benefited from public money," because this is the best way "to exercise better control over spending."
