President Garre highlights the new Blue Museum of Holy Week Lorca as "one of the main cultural attractions of the region" (29/05/2015)

The president of the Community functions, Alberto Garre, opened today in Lorca Museum Blue Easter (MASS), a space that shows the most valuable embroideries Brotherhood of Farmers, as well as other documents and pieces of their historic heritage and, according to the president Garre, "make it one of the main tourist and cultural attractions of the region."

The new museum, located in the convent of San Francisco, has more than 3,500 square meters and houses various rooms where you see the jewels of the Virgin of Our Lady of Sorrows or the work of the embroiderers, among others, and a large room for temporary exhibitions.

For the regional chief executive, "the Blue Museum of Easter will Lorca and Blue Fine map, and contribute to the revitalization of the historic area of ​​the city".

In this regard, he stressed that the MASS "not only as the largest museum in the region, but one of the few in the whole national territory hanging from their windows textile pieces."

The president of the Community toured the new premises accompanied the acting mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, the president of the Brotherhood of Farmers of Paso Blue, Jose Antonio Ruiz, and President of the Blue Step Foundation, Andres Espinosa.
