The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, along with the president of the Foundation Cajamurcia, Carlos Egea, have renewed a collaboration agreement that provides support for activities that promote wellness and active aging of older people.
The City of Lorca and the Cajamurcia Foundation collaborate with the development of different courses and workshops held at the Senior Centers of the municipality.
Francisco Jodar has indicated that specifically aids are intended to 'Higher Education Program for Health and Quality of Life: Physical Activity'.
Benefit, directly, hundreds of people over Lorca who have applied to participate in these workshops.
This agreement is another example of the commitment of the Foundation Cajamurcia with the elderly, which is involved in promoting initiatives that promote quality of life and the formation of this group, and improving the health and welfare care, that has become a constant in his line of action.
Notably, the Foundation, in addition to supporting the activities of these centers that promote social and cultural participation of older people and avoid situations of loneliness and isolation, also drives programs to encourage reading and volunteering, as well as spaces radio and print mainly for the elderly.
