Lorca returns to lead the drop in unemployment at regional and national level, both monthly and annual comparison (02/10/2015)

In Lorca September 30 there were 174 fewer unemployed than August 31 and 877 less than the same day of 2014. This represents a decrease in unemployment between Lorca of 2.62% in a month and 11.94% in last year.

Employment Councilwoman City of Lorca, Eulalia Ibarra, expressed his satisfaction that "the town of Lorca returns to lead the drop in unemployment at regional and national level in both monthly and annual comparison."

Specifically in Lorca on 30 September there were 174 fewer unemployed than August 31 and 877 less than the same day of 2014. This represents a decrease in unemployment between Lorca of 2.62% in a month, compared to 0.14 % of the regional average and growth in unemployment of 0.64% nationally.

Another sign that unemployment is falling faster among Lorca between Murcia and the rest of Spain is that in the last year unemployment has decreased by 11.94% Lorca while the rest of the region has done one 8.02% and the national average is 7.95%.

Ibarra said that "the drop in unemployment in the last month has occurred mainly in the services and construction sectors, but also in industry and among those who have not had a previous activity".
