The III Festival of Early Music and Baroque Lorca will be held from November 8 to December 19 in Santo Domingo, the Poor Clares, Santiago and San Francisco (05/11/2015)

The Councillor for Culture said "among the five concerts scheduled for the Musical Heritage Association and Friends of Music Lorca included a choral symphonic work file Collegiate and an organ concert with the only historic instrument of the city.

The Councillor for Culture of the City of Lorca, Augustine Llamas, and the president of the Musical Heritage Association and Friends of Music of Lorca, Antonio Manzanera, today presented the III Festival of Early Music and Baroque Lorca, to be held in buildings emblematic of the city on 8, 15, 25 and 28 November with five concerts that act local, national and national groups.

Specifically, this program includes Gregorian, Renaissance and Baroque music.

The first concert will take place on Sunday, November 8, at the Chapel of the Virgen del Rosario from 19.00 hours and intervene Granada trio "Music Intavolata" with soprano, flutes and harps, a program courtly and popular music from around the conquest of Granada.

On Sunday November 15 at 10:00 the Monastery of Santa Ana and Magdalena of the Poor Clares host the Gregorian Mass in honor of St. Cecilia, with recital dead, All Saints and Immaculate Advent hand of "Schola Gregoriana Murcia ".

On Wednesday November 25 at 20:00 in the church of Santiago Baroque music ensemble "The Chiaroscuro Gallery" which has offered concerts throughout Europe will be heard.

Within the festival highlights particular, have the opportunity to listen to the December 19 at 20:00 in the church of San Francisco choral symphonic work, "Beatus Vir", part of the works that made the Archive of the Collegiate St. Patrick and was deposited in the Municipal Archives of Lorca.

The work dates from 1776 and was written by the then choirmaster of it, Ramoneda and José Samaranch, who headed the musicians and singers of the Collegiate Church from 1770-1818.
