Addendum to the agreement with the city of Lorca for the renewal of neighborhoods affected by earthquakes |

The Cabinet has approved a proposal of the Ministry of Culture and Spokesperson, a grant of 72,600 euros to the city of Lorca for the drafting and implementation of the reclamation works of the church of San Juan.

This action is contained in the Master Plan for the Recovery of Cultural Heritage of the city, which provides for coordination and joint actions for the full recovery of historic-artistic whole village after the earthquake of 2011.

The church of San Juan is a medieval temple, now in ruins.

Addendum to the agreement with the city of Lorca for the renewal of neighborhoods affected by earthquakes

The Governing Council authorized the conclusion of a second addendum to the agreement between the Community, through the Ministry of Public Works and Infrastructure, and the city of Lorca for technical collaboration in urban renewal in various areas affected by the earthquakes of 2011 .

In particular, the addendum is to amend the first clause of the agreement for the implementation by the City of Lorca for implementing the actions of urban renewal in the Avenida Juan Carlos I and adjacent spaces.

Avenida Juan Carlos I is the main road artery of the city center and therefore hub of social and commercial activity of Lorca, along with Easter scene of Lorca.
