The Department of Sports, the Scout Group Sun City and Custom Motorcycle clubs Lorca and CM Rebels join forces to collect donations that will go to Red Cross track and Calasanz.
Councilman Sports City of Lorca, Juan Francisco Martinez, coordinator of Sun City Scout Group, Pedro Enrique Llamas, and the secretary of Custom Motorcycle Club Lorca, Cristian Romeu, reported that on Friday 27 in the afternoon and the Saturday 28 throughout the day 200 volunteers from these organizations, the Youth Council of Lorca and CM Rebels participate in the collection of food big national campaign Food Bank.
In Lorca collection points will be the Sports Complex Philip VI and the Eroski San Diego, SuperDumbo of Gramada Road, Santa Fe Jerome Consum, Mercadona neighborhood of San Antonio and MaxiDía supermarket next to the bus station.
Martinez has invited all people who want to work as volunteers in this activity to register in the House of Sport since the objective is to collect donations that will go to Red Cross track and Calasanz.
The mayor has encouraged Lorca to make their contribution in this conference carrying the theme "No food, no life. We need you" and where nationwide last year delivered 142 million kilos of food to more than 2 million needy.
Food Banks are non-profit organizations based on voluntary activity and aims to the collection, storage and distribution of food to get them to officially recognized charities that help the needy, thus contributing to the fight against waste , social integration of people at risk of exclusion, and protect the environment by preventing the destruction of food.
