The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, next to the Tourism Councillor of the City of our city, Francisco Montiel, has delivered this morning SICTED distinctions awarded to a total of 9 professionals and companies in the tourism sector of the municipality.
The mayor stressed that Lorca committed to quality tourism, working to be an active and dynamic SICTED within the municipality.
We all realize that this resource is an excellent opportunity to promote our rich heritage, inheritance from civilizations that inhabited these lands for centuries.
We are a trade fair city, and we're going to be a city of events, unique museums, Easter and unrivaled space.
Very few municipalities can give the visitor a varied offer including culture, heritage, nature and beach at the same time.
Francisco Jodar has stressed that Lorca committed to quality as the flag of our resources and tourist services and therefore we adhere to the Draft Comprehensive System of Spanish Tourism Quality in Destination, SICTED.
SICTED is a program developed by the Ministry of Tourism aimed at the comprehensive and permanent quality management into a tourist destination.
The goal is that whoever wants to be part of SICTED offer a high level of quality in terms of services offered to tourists.
We refer both to tourism services and those that contribute to the formation of the tourist experience in a destination.
Tourism is a reality and we have the appropriate resources to exploit this dimension that involves both the commercial and economic level of the municipality.
But the quality of the offer requires us to business conditions and all the services that surround also bet on the same standards of quality.
The Mayor has indicated that living a key development for our present and future in this economic area, particularly in the field of fairs and congresses moment.
We are all aware of what we have brought this year's celebrations FERICAB and SEPOR, to give some examples, which have filled hotels, catering establishments and generated an obvious commercial revitalization.
With the construction of the new Trade Fair and Congress Center we can improve these samples and hold new ones that have a positive impact.
