The Governing Council, on a proposal from the Department of Family and Equal Opportunity, has given its approval to the contracting of services in residence to serve 120 people in a situation of dependency with intellectual disabilities in the town of Lorca.
Hiring, amounting to 10,646,131 euros, it will be carried out through competition by open procedure and for a period of four years, ranging from April 2016 to late March 2020.
Law 39/2006 of 14 December on the Promotion of Personal Autonomy and Care for people in situation of dependency establishes principles underlying the public nature of the performance of this system and its integration into the social service networks of the autonomous communities.
Among the basic services to be provided by residential centers is accommodation, assistance with basic activities of daily living;
geriatric care, the promotion of personal autonomy and occupational therapy and rehabilitation.
