To mark the International Day Against Islamophobia, on Saturday December 12th, the Muslim Community of Lorca distributed flowers as a sign of harmony and understanding between cultures, and against the damage toward Muslims.

The 12th of December is the International Day Against Islamophobia, and because of this, the Muslim Community intends to make a distribution of flowers as a sign of harmony and understanding between cultures.
An activity that strengthen the bonds of coexistence and end the fear, through knowledge, thus avoiding prejudices when meeting or interacting with others.
From the Muslim Community of Lorca, they explained that like other types of discrimination, Islamophobia is an evil that must fight together, because it undermines the dignity of people.
In this regard, as they wanted to express through this statement, most Islamophobia coming to suffer the Muslim community, is by certain media that often do not report, but misinform, reaching convey ideas erroneous and false about Islam and Muslims.
Therefore, the Muslim Community reiterates its rejection of any act of violence and a chance to opt out of any extremism.
Finally, members of the Muslim Community of Lorca call on all citizens of Lorca, to take to the streets to express their rejection of this phenomenon of hatred towards Muslims.
In this sense, they announce that this Saturday, from 12 hours in the columns, and in other parts of the city will develop a distribution of flowers to passersby.
