Lorca City Council confirms its commitment to the families of users of Municipal Early Childhood Center than 400 children benefit each year (23/12/2015)

Current Municipal facilities Early Childhood Center resources have a multisensory room art selflessly provided by the Rotary Club of Valencia.

Thanks to this treatment is given to children of 0-6 years who have sensory and / or movement problems (cerebral palsy, muscular rigidity, decreased mobility, sight or hearing problems, etc.) changes.

This room has specialized equipment for working together on a sensory level stimuli promoting and developing touch, hearing or vision.

This room has a waterbed, bubble tube, fiber tubes, stereo and touch screen.

The City Center has a Director, a psychologist, a social worker, 3 physiotherapists, speech therapists and 4 April early care technicians.

The activities developed are home care, speech therapy, physiotherapy, global intervention, social work, psychological intervention, psycho-pedagogical support, hydrotherapy, psychomotor, family intervention, assessment, evaluation, diagnostic hypothesis and programming.

The activity that the city carried to term through this service is distributed into 6 main lines such as:

Research: agreements with University of Murcia and University Hospital Virgen de la Arrixaca.

Training: Ongoing training courses, seminars, conferences and Master.

Teaching: lectures, communications and e-university courses.

Practices and tutored Masters degree in the UMU.

Workshops for families: infant massage, baby gymnastics, myofunctional workshop (preventive groups and 3-6 years) and workshop seats, molded pelvic and standing devices.

Other activities: water festival, storytelling and entertainment program for children with intellectual disabilities.
