Public Works carries out work on the road paved Almudema-La Paca, in the municipality of Lorca (05/07/2008)

The Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport, through the Directorate General for Transport and Highways has made repairs to the road sign C-3211, ranging from Albacete to Eagles by Caravaca, for a total amounting to 59,505 euros.

The works, which affect the stretch Almudema-La Paca, involved in repairing the road surface C-3211, between mile markers 30 and 31, exit to Caravaca de la Paca, in the town of Lorca.

The final repair will improve safety and ride comfort for users of the area in an area where the average intensity of 2,040 vehicles is 403 vehicles per day and heavy traffic, which justifies the need to complete these works of asphalt on the road.

It has been extended out 1,100 tons of asphalt two inches thick, which has considerably improved the safety of the area.

In this sense, the director general of Transport and Highways, Carmen Maria Sandoval, recalled that in recent months have initiated various actions to improve road safety in the road sections of regional ownership, as the installation of crash barriers to protect motorists, the specific signaling pathways frequented by cyclists, or investment in road safety and road maintenance, which have a total budget of 28 million euros for this year.
