Agriculture Councilman of the City of Lorca, Angel Ruzafa Mecca, reported that from next Tuesday, August 5, 2008, will proceed to the delivery of products for the eradication of fruit fly in collaboration with Ministry of Agriculture of the Autonomous Community.
The council stressed that the withdrawal of this product is free, and can be done in the Fairground Santa Quiteria, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 to 12:00 hours throughout August.
To receive a product is necessary authorization issued by the District Land Office of Lorca, but farmers and withdrew the product last year and therefore have tab may pass directly over the phone and will be cited for delivery.
Angel Meca stressed that this action is part of the campaign against flies Experimental fruit of the Ministry in collaboration with several municipalities, among which is that of Lorca.
Management by farmers will be delivered the following materials for the 2008 campaign:
1.-For lots of citrus (oranges, tangerines and clementines early and mid-season, with harvest to December): Play more insecticide bait for fly fisherman, according to available equipment and area, based on share listings previous years.
For unique fruit trees (figs, caquileros, jujube, etc..) Shall be allocated a trap tree M3 declared.
2.-order plots of table grape varieties that are susceptible to attack by the fly, located in any municipality in the region: the corresponding bait and insecticide.
The materials provided for this season are:
Med Fly Bait Biolures of Suterra, consisting of a compact envelope or three independent, depending on availability.
Feraz Bait CD TM, sedeq, consisting of a compact envelope
TM Insect ID Sedqa Ferg, consisting of a compact envelope
