The City does not stop in summer.
That is the main conclusion that can be obtained from the data released today by the Internal Affairs Councillor of the Consistory Lorca, José Joaquín Peñarrubia, relating to transactions in July by the Administrative Unit of Statistics.
A total of 3,555 operations were performed by the Statistical Service officers during the month of August.
"There was an apparent decrease in the number of operations performed, but this reduction is rather modest, considering that this is the first month of summer and therefore it is reasonable to drop queries made by users," said the mayor.
In this respect, and making a comparison with the results of the balances in other months of 2008, we can see a moderate decline.
For example, in June 2008 were 4834 services by the Statistics Unit of the Municipality of Lorca, while in February 4320 this amount totaled.
As to the factors that contribute to the production of such data, says Peñarrubia that "while many of Lorca that are enjoying their summer break and, therefore, do not make these administrative procedures are also many who take advantage these days of summer to update or to request different documents. "
The 3555 operations in July are due in most part to changes made by users in the Administrative Unit of Statistics.
The most commonly performed operation in the first month of summer is flying the residence application, which amounts to 1,455.
Also, between the data processed, include changes of address, since this month has made 245 changes of residence involving 416 people.
Have been issued, in a different, 222 documents of faith life, while renewals amounted to 139.
"Though we were in summer," said Peñarrubia, "the City continues to offer its services at a level normal.
These data reflect normal day to day at City Hall, despite the summer months.
