Lorca City Council to introduce draft an indoor pool in the neighborhood of San Antonio at the invitation of the Local Investment Fund (05/12/2008)

The spokesman of the government team of the City of Lorca, Lali Ibarra, and Councilman Works, Angel Meca, announced this morning that the first project that the Consistory lorquino submitted to the convening of the Municipal Investment Fund of Central Government will be building an indoor pool in the Barrio de San Antonio, whose cost amounts to about 2 billion euros.

Ibarra explained that "we have always opted for this new infrastructure, but funding was needed to run to the Government because we find that the City had no money to do it.

The project of this pool, which is already developed, includes eight-lane swimming, rather than the six that exist in the only facility of this kind in the city, a length of 25 meters in width and depth 16.5 will go from 1.20 to 1.40 meters.

The building will have another drink for children, with dimensions of 16.5 to 6 meters and depth of between 0.60 and 0.90 meters.

Another feature that this future will be building for an indoor heated pool installation is suitable for harnessing solar energy for water heating.

The building will be in space now occupied by a municipal warehouse.
