The Mayor announced that a European has chosen employment workshops Lorca Town Hall as an example of Good Practice (17/12/2008)

The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar has announced this morning that the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (CEDEFOP), which assists the European Commission has chosen the "Employment Workshops" developed by the Department Employment and Local Development of the City of Lorca, as an example of good practice.

The choice of these programs as examples of "good practice" in the field of Vocational Training, European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training, implies that municipal programs are published in the Catalogue of Best Practices 2005-2007, currently being developed by the European Centre which aims to raise awareness of these good practices between training experts of the European Union and facilitate partnerships for the implementation of cooperation projects at the community level.

In this vein, the mayor wanted to congratulate both professionals and students of the Department of Employment "that depend on them for the prestige and value of this training, we can see how they receive their diplomas today have implemented professionalism in the 1,920 hours of training, with performances as the rehabilitation of San Pedro Community Center, the redevelopment of the Plaza de Juan Moreno, improved classroom of nature in the shelter house churches, the completion of the Hall of new CLD or cabinets, showcase for the Archaeological Museum and the renovation and installation of benches and rails in the parks of the municipality.
