Livestock Technology Center will open in the next SEPOR (27/02/2009)

The Director General of Operations and Training Modernization of Agriculture of the Autonomous Region, Ángel García, announced this morning by the Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar the Livestock Technology Center, based in Sun City, will be fully operational for the next week of Pigs, SEPOR.

Garcia and Jódar this morning visited the construction of the building that will house the Center for Equine Studies, which will have a facility of 550 m2 divided into 14 boxes, a central patio, a kitchen, toilets, equestrian equipment stores and two sinks, one transparent and one with burladero.

The Director General stressed that this center represents an investment of 450,000 euros, will allow the formation of not only fans of horse management, but also from experts in this world, which is a rural development activity.

The mayor has emphasized the collaboration of the Autonomous Community and the Army with the City to move forward with this project, which will complete this facility Livestock Technology Center, which already has a Centre for Artificial Insemination, while working in the recovery of the native race Chato Murciano pig and research about pigs and goats.

During the visit the Mayor of Lorca and the Director General were accompanied by the Councillors of Livestock and Rural Policy, Melchor Morales and Angel Mecca and SEPOR manager, Patri Bermudez, and President of COAG Lorca, Salvador Abellán.

Three pure-bred Spanish stallions, an Arabian horse and a donkey

The announcement was made during a visit to the facilities of the insemination of cattle in which up to June 30 will be three Spanish purebred stallion, an Arab thoroughbred and a donkey purebred Andalusian to inseminate mares the Shire.
