The City Council allocated over the next several months nearly 2.4 million euros to modernize and improve the Barrio de San Cristóbal (02/03/2009)

The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, has reported that the City will allocate a total investment of € 2,369,131 to modernize and improve the Barrio de San Cristóbal.

The mayor has said that this series of projects, integrated into the Municipal Investment Plan (PIMUN), includes 5 main actions.

Jodar has detailed the first of which provides for remodeling of the Civic Center, which will have a taller plant the new center will be 865 m 2, spread over 2 floors.

Will include computer room, library, office decentralization, hall, 3 multipurpose rooms, canteen, warehouse and 5 offices for citizen groups.

This construction saves the Consistory in rent payments estimated at 27,600 per year.

This work represents an investment of € 300,000 in respect only force, which later will add a significant amount of equipment intended for such infrastructure.

The financing of the project is funded with money from the Urban Initiative and the municipal coffers. "

Funding for this work comes from the Community and the City Council.

Jódar Francisco has announced that the City Council within the PIMUN, also plans to improve the Public School San Cristobal, a center that will proceed with the construction of a sports pavilion for the use and enjoyment of the school community of that school.
