The Ministry of Agriculture and Water, in cooperation with agricultural organizations and financial institutions Cajamar Caja Murcia and has organized a seminar to present information in different counties Rural Development Program in the Region of Murcia (RDP) 2007-2013, which sets out guidelines for aid and investment to be allocated to the region amounting to 818 million euros.

As explained by the Director General of Irrigation and Rural Development, Julio Bernal, the Ministry of Agriculture and Water in 2009 allocated a total of 80.5 million euros, financed by the European Agricultural Fund, EAFRD, to promote sustainable development and promote quality standards in rural areas.
