A total of 145 children representing different schools of the municipality of Lorca attend this weekend in the nearby town of Aguilas to participate in the School Sports Regional Final in the form of Athletics Team.
In the juvenile category, representatives are San Fernando Lorca, Juan Gonzalez, Alfonso X El Sabio and San Francisco, while students of the IES Ramón Arcas, Prince of Asturias, Ros Martin Ibáñez Giner and Lorca represent the categories of children, and cadet youth.
The evidence on which the students compete Lorca are speed (60 meters fry, 80 of children and 100 cadets and juveniles), resistance (800 meters fry, the children's 1000 meters and 1500 meters for cadets and juveniles), while the rest of the tests are shot put, high jump and long jump, plus a relay event.
Also included in the School Sports Programme, on Saturday May 23, from 16:00 hours will be held in Pozo Estrecho the 2nd day of cycling, in which Lorca is represented by students of the Mother of God, IESO Sierra de Almenara and Ros IES Francisco Giner and Sierra de Almenara.
Remember that the local phase, organized by the Municipal Sports and Games (IMJUDE), were about 2000 students from various schools in Lorca.
