The Socialist Party calls on the council of Women to report to women entrepreneurs access to microcredit Lorca without collateral (12/06/2009)

The Socialist councilor Lucia Sanchez, today showed concern about the lack of information from the Department of Women so that Lorca can access loans of up to 25,000 euros to set up business ventures.

Sanchez recalled that last May 28, the Ministries of Industry, Tourism and Trade and Equality, in conjunction with the Spanish Confederation of Savings Banks (CECA), renewed an agreement to facilitate access to finance through micro-credits women entrepreneurs and businesswomen, "without personal guarantees or commissions."

In this sense, the socialist mayor asked the council in the industry, Antonia Lopez, launching a campaign that allow the Lorca who wish to choose an action "to boost equality through empowerment the presence of women in the business. "

Lucia Sanchez said that "promote the success of women is to promote the success of our town" because it's a safe bet for economic development "more responsible, more caring and sustainable."

He therefore asked Lopez to their partisan interests aside and work for the benefit of the group he represents through the improvements that it poses to the national government.

Women's council budgets

The Socialist councilor Lucia Sanchez, denounced the systematic reduction of support for equality policies, as evidenced by the departure of 713,000 euros in the past approved budgets in relation to the previous year, down 15%.

Sanchez regretted that budgets of the Department of Women represent only 0.94% of the global, which defines the right model "and its defense," nozzle "of equality policies.

The PSOE interpret this reduction as a strategy of social policy in general and women's associations of Lorca in particular, since the PP government team until June only guarantees activities currently being developed them.

From this date is planned, according to the councilor in charge of the PP, cutting subsidies.

The socialist mayor also criticized the lack of information about funding for training in the area of Women.

Lucia Sanchez explained that "we have asked for actively and passively to provide us what are the plans for it, as we have requested that this item does not suffer any cuts."
