Lorca in July will host two courses at the University of the Sea and two in September (02/07/2009)

Up to 240 students will participate in these training activities. |

The Councillor for Education and the City University of Lorca, José Joaquín Peñarrubia, and the Vice Chancellor of the University of the University of Murcia, Francisco Guillermo Diaz, presented this morning the four courses of the Sea International University conducted in Sun City this summer and the first incorporated as developments in Archaeology and archaeological heritage, as well as other promotional and marketing products and tourist destinations.

The courses will begin on 20 July with the course of territorial management of archaeological heritage: cultural spaces, archaeological sites and large sets musealized , which runs until the 24th.

In parallel, another seminar will be held on the evolution of early intervention: an interdisciplinary conceptual framework and intervention .

In the month of September, from day 21 to 25, will develop courses on harmful competition and tax planning , while another

promotion and marketing of tourism products and destinations .

The deadlines for registration are now open and registration will cost 95 euros each.

Up to 240 total students may attend these courses.

Peñarrubia has highlighted the quality of the speakers, among them the presence of Judge of the Constitutional Court

Pascual Salas and professors from various universities around the country.

In addition, they have organized several visits to the cultural heritage of the city.

The Councillor for Education has also emphasized the close cooperation between the city and two universities in the region to move forward with the reality of a Lorca Ciudad Universitaria.

In the course of archaeological heritage will be a review of several examples of musealization of deposits, including archaeological sites like Segóbriga Gavà Mines or the gestation of which is planned in the winch Cartagena.

Councillor stressed that "in this way, we link more Lorca in heritage restoration projects, where the mayor announced as an archaeological park is conditioned on the castle."
