The Railway Infrastructure Administration (ADIF), in collaboration with the Autonomous Region, has signed today the expansion of an agreement signed in 2001 for the elimination of level crossings, and that will mean a new investment of 18.8 million euros, the government pays 66%.
Lorca will benefit from this suppression and Improvement Plan launched by the Ministry of Development, with the elimination of six crossings.
Specifically, in our municipal and for-Lorca Sewer line are deleted from the kilometer (pk) 46/982 (Camino Hinojar) and 47/823 (Camino de Casas Castillo).
In addition, under study are those located in the pk 54/615 (Camino del Molino de la Sierra) and 55/127 (Churra Trail).
The elimination of these depend on the research for the project of urban integration and adaptation to high performances of Lorca's rail network.
In line Lorca-Baza, deleted two level crossings in Lorca, those in the pk 3 / 797 (Razorfen Road) and 6 / 620 (Salt Road).
Both are in the process of writing project.
The PSOE lorquino have expressed their satisfaction at this announcement and recalled that from the moment the government of José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero has shown the commitment to the elimination of level crossings in the municipality.
