Agriculture Councilman of the City of Lorca, Angel Ruzafa Mecca, reported that from next Tuesday, July 28, will proceed to the delivery of products for the eradication of fruit fly in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture Autonomous Community.
The council stressed that the withdrawal of this product is free, and can be done in the Fairground Santa Quiteria, Monday through Thursday from 9:00 to 12:00 hours throughout August while supplies last.
To receive a product is necessary authorization issued by the District Land Office of Lorca, but farmers and withdrew the product last year and therefore have tab may pass and be referred directly by phone for delivery.
Angel Meca stressed that "this action is part of the experimental campaign against fruit fly from the Ministry of Agriculture and Water, in cooperation with several municipalities, among which is the de Lorca"
Management by farmers will be delivered the following materials for the 2009 campaign:
1.-For lots of citrus (oranges, tangerines and clementines early and mid-season, with harvest to December): Play more insecticide bait for fly fisherman, according to available equipment and area, based on share listings previous years.
For unique fruit trees (figs, caquileros, jujube, etc..) Shall be allocated a trap tree M3 declared.
2.-order plots of table grape varieties that are susceptible to attack by the fly, located in any municipality in the region: the corresponding bait and insecticide.
The materials provided for this season are:
Med Fly Bait Biolures · of Suterra, consisting of a compact envelope or three independent, depending on availability.
· Bait Feraz CD TM, sedeq, consisting of a compact envelope.
· Insecticide Ferg Sedqa TM ID, consisting of a compact envelope.
