The potter-ceramist Martín García Lario "Eusebio", finalist of the National Crafts Award 2009 (06/08/2009)

The potter-ceramist Martín García Lario "Eusebio" has been a finalist for the National Craft Award 2009, recognizing the set of a work with an established track record and widely recognized in the world of crafts.

National Crafts Awards are organized by the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade and promoted by the Spanish Foundation for Innovation of Crafts to show the best craftsmen of our country.

Furthermore, these awards aim to recognize those outstanding and exemplary actions carried out by the craftsmen in the field of contemporary craft.

This initiative aims to promote the development and competitiveness of small and medium enterprises Spanish artisans aiming to encourage innovation, design and adaptability to market such products.

The Councillor of Tourism and Handicraft of the City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, congratulated this artist Lorca "for their work and to disseminate our craftsmanship throughout the national territory."

Montiel has reiterated institutional support to this economic and cultural sector in the municipality.

In addition, the Directorate General of Trade and Handicraft of the Ministry of Universities, Business and Research in the Region of Murcia has also been awarded prizes, product innovation and promotion that gives the same foundation.

This award is due to the contribution and development in the enhancement of the craft of our country.

At the same time, the jury considered both the comprehensive approach that have supplied products with a corporate vision of cooperation between all authorities and groups involved as their promotion and marketing strategy.

This administration is responsible for the development, creation and promotion of the trademark "Murcia Crafts, a craft as a distinctive mark of origin and quality of craftsmanship.

Lario Martin took over the management of the company dedicated to the ceramic craft in 1998, the death of his father Eusebius, which took its name as a trademark.

This craftsman, with a company that has a tradition dating back to the sixteenth century, has managed to combine traditional pottery making avant-garde designs characterized by their bold, colorful and cheerful.

The products sold have no boundaries because they are sold in Spanish territory and in many European Union countries and even in parts of America.

In previous years such as 2006, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Lorca was able to recognize their effort and worth giving the Craft Award for lifetime achievement for lorquina crafts and the whole region.

Similarly, in 2008, the Department of Economics, Business and Research awarded his "Tree of Happiness" with the Regional Award Craft in 2008, within the VI Contest Craft Unique works.
