The Municipal Socialist Group, regretted by his councilor Leoncio Collado, increased numbers of unemployed in the municipality of Lorca during the month of July, with 6,264 unemployed, representing a 235 increase from the previous month.
Collado said that this figure affects men and 2690 women, 3574, assuming a total of Lorca and Lorca affected by unemployment of 5142 and 1122 foreigners.
Faced with the reality of these data, the socialist mayor recalled that at present are carrying out various investments in public works throughout the municipality by the various Government: State, Regional and Local, and yet are not being met the expectations of improving employment in the city.
The socialist mayor recalled that "the fight against unemployment should be the objective 1 of the Governing Body of the PP in Lorca, and how all the City Hall Municipal Group of Lorca.
Therefore, Collado, requested an urgent meeting of the Bureau of Employment of which they form part of its Municipal Group in order to implement measures against destructive scourge of employment.
He also stated that neither PIMUN or training, or anything of the decisions taken by the Department of Employment and Team, are having positive impact on unemployment in the municipality of Lorca.
It should therefore, according to statements by the mayor, to "review the proceedings in respect of employment carried out in the country, collecting information from technicians accredited to the Department of Employment, in order to redirect or decisions, as measures have been inadequate and a real failure "
Finally, Collins said that since the Popular Party is managing the town, unemployment grows annually in 2000 person-years.
