Public Works will help pave the road to La Parroquia, in Lorca, to improve communications from the west of town (15/09/2009)

The Ministry of Public Works and Planning, through the Directorate General of Highways, has tendered the pavement strengthening works of the road connecting the town of Lorca in the hamlet of La Parroquia (RM-701) to improve communications from the west side of town.

The Director General of Roads of the Ministry of Public Works and Planning, Jose Guijarro, said: "The design of this road will provide residents of the hamlets of Lorca's The Captives, The Fuensanta Showers Fuensanta and comfort Parish and safety in their travels. "

Moreover, this route, which connects various villages of population of the city center, connects Fuensanta bath with RM-C22 road, which runs through the province of Almeria, so the action will also facilitate communication of the municipality Andalusia.

The work, which has a budget of more than 600,000 euros, that is improving the firm, renew the road sign, and form new gutters clean as well as install a flexible safety barrier on the bridge over the river Vélez.

Better connect the town with Aledo

The regional government also plans to put the road that connects Lorca Aledo, MR-C21, with an investment of over five million euros.

The Ministry, which ended last April, the first phase of the action, in the section that runs through the town of Aledo, has bid for an amount of EUR 2.4 million works of the second phase, comprising from the eight kilometer point to its intersection with the road between Lorca Zarzadilla of Totana, MRI-C9.
