78.6% Increase in the number of contracts awarded in Lorca during the month of September, most of them in the service sector (06/10/2009)

Employment Councilwoman City of Lorca, Lali Ibarra has reported that in September the town was formalized in a total of 2867 new contracts, a 78.63% on the previous month, with most of them , namely 1774, the service sector.

Ibarra was further reported that "Lorca is still below the regional average and major cities in the region as rising unemployment, both in terms interaunuales as compared to last month.

Going into details, while the regional average in September stood at 2.32% increase, these figures come to 3.3% in Cartagena, Caravaca 2.3 to 4.94 in Cieza, and Lorca has been in 1.26.

The public work of the Municipal Investment Plan (PIMUN) in September has become to reduce the number of unemployed in the construction sector by 5.4%.

It also stresses that the greatest reduction in unemployment in the last month has been among men aged 25 to 34 years.

The figures cast in August indicate that they have generated new jobs in construction and agriculture.

In the first case it is noteworthy that have created a total of 60 new jobs, mainly derived from the wide range of public works launched by the Municipality through the Municipal Investment Plan.

City Council and social partners seek solutions to the case of services sector
