José García Murcia deeply regrets that the government team decides to reduce the IBI to Lorca mid-term, with a clear electoral purpose, without taking into account requests made by the neighbors affected from the time of the adoption of General Plan and the cadastral revision accordingly.
The spokesman recalled that the General Plan was adopted jointly by PP and PSOE just giving rise to the increase that we wish to reclaim.
Murcia García noted that at least a year ago that this reduction might have occurred as a result of a motion filed IU in September 2008 which approved the municipal technical services prepare a report on the possibilities of IBI and bonus Tax on the Increase in Value of Urban Land tax subjects of these soils.
IU's intention at that time was that the reduction was effective in 2009, an issue which clearly lagged and not an intent to put into practice until a year later.
