The Minister of Agriculture and Water, Antonio Cerdá, along with the Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar and Alimer cooperative president, Manuel Soler, today inaugurated the new premises of the cooperative Alimer he described as "exemplary."
The new facilities of the cooperative, located in La Tercia lorquina council involves an investment of 1.2 billion euros.
The owner of Agriculture and Water highlighted the efforts in recent years have been cooperative in the pool Alimer, and stressed that the outcome of this work is an example to follow in the cooperative Murcia. "
He stressed that this new infrastructure will allow "a better structure and coordination" of this cooperative service offered to its partners and customers.
Alimer is one of the first agricultural cooperatives in the Murcia region with the highest turnover, amounting to 128 million euros.
This partnership brings together 1,540 farmers engaged in different activities such as fruits, vegetables, feed manufacturing, marketing of pigs, cut flowers, canned artichokes and marketing of goat milk and cheese, among others.
Alimer belongs to several cooperatives in the second degree as Anecoop, unexport, Cremofruit and Serme-co and participates in the company and the freezing Gestokal Slaughterhouse Lorca, as well as take part in various R & D + i.
