Healthy Eating "by CajaMadrid]

José Joaquín López Antonia Peñarrubia and stressed the importance of initiatives like this to raise awareness in general, but especially smaller ones, about the potential impact of our daily consumption on our health and our environment.

The Councillor for Education of the City of Lorca, José Joaquín Peñarrubia, and Health Councillor, Antonia Lopez, visited this morning the bus of the educational campaign "Healthy Planet.

Healthy Eating ", sponsored by the Social Work CajaMadrid.

Peñarrubia stressed the importance of initiatives like this, "for which this morning will move about 200 students in the third cycle of primary, secondary and high schools and in the afternoon will be open to groups and citizens in general, in order to sensitize society about the impact it has on the environment the current food consumption. "

This classroom education, created in a passenger bus recycled following the highest standards of environmental protection, has a capacity for 25 people in 40 m2, with all the equipment necessary for the development of programs and a special elevator for easy access disabled.

A specialized monitor, and the use of audiovisual and multimedia, school guarantees an attractive and interesting learning about the problems caused by waste, after the production, marketing and consumption, showing that our eating habits can improve not only our health, but also the planet.

The content of the sessions, lasting approximately 50 minutes and tailored to different educational levels, follows the general outline: Presentation of the activity, an audiovisual on the relationship between Health, Consumption and the Environment, feeding dynamics: "The Biotest", working with interactive multimedia program 'Healthy Planet', an explanation of the signs of indoor exposure, conclusions and questions.

The action of this bus is 14.5 meters long, 2.5 meters wide (6 meters when mounted) and 4 meters high.

In this activity we recommend a healthy, varied and balanced diet with vitamins and minerals and low in fat, in addition to drinking plenty of water, which helps eliminate toxins, using natural ingredients go to work by foot, bicycle public transport, and physical exercise.

It also teaches the need to reduce waste, recycle, recover, reuse and think about responsible drinking.
